designed by Michelle LaFoe, the founder of Office 52 Architecture, the Sherman and Joyce Bowie Scott Hall is one of Carnegie Mellon's boldest constructions.

Scott Hall was built as a cleanroom building for CMU's nanofabrication lab; since it is one of the world's most energy-efficient cleanrooms, it earned a LEED gold certification. it has a rainwater collection, a green-roof, and the windows contain low-emissive coating to cool it down during the hotter days in Pittsburgh.

students were asked to go into the lower-portion of Scott Hall to accurately measure and draft its plan and sections as a final exercise for our Digital Media class.
this project took place over the course of a week; it took me about one full day after classes to measure, one day to draft plan, two days to draft sections, and one day for photoshop and submission assembly.
and here is the final result.
