Upham’s Makerspace & Library is located in the Upham’s Corner neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts. It is a hub of the creative arts and contains a majority POC population, with small studios peppered around each street corner. This library-maker space fusion is all about facilitating a connection between different studios while affording the local population more opportunities for creative outlet by surrounding them with captivating architecture.
While Upham’s Corner contains an extensively rich history, it is greatly underfunded by local governance. A maker space and library would revitalize this region of Upham’s Corner and offer youth a gateway into a more creative way of life.
